Warren and JJ's Place, Yanaamerica

The last birthday I cared about was 21, 27 is nothing special. But my friends insisted we go out and I had been told about Warren's. I'm always skeptical when people talk up places to eat, and I'm the kind of person who keeps the max ratings reserved for those who deserve it. Warren and JJ's is without a doubt a 5/5. My only wish is that I had known about it sooner. My time in Okinawa is coming to an end, and I will likely never see myself back here, but rest assured I'll be spending more time with Warren and his family before I leave. Serving size, quality, taste, are all what I had hoped for and more. Arrive hungry, you've been warned!

Diamond hidden in the rough! Wow. What a treat it was to find this spot. You know the place where you feel like you've known the owner for years... That's here! The food was so flavorful and portion sizing was abundant. Warren will sit down with his guests as they eat. It's so fun to hear his story and how this family has built such a welcoming place over the years. As we were getting ready to leave Warren said we needed to stay a bit longer. He treated us to beignets on the house and sent us home with a smoked chicken that was mouth-watering. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience and somewhere we will definitely be visiting again!

The food is amazing! Warren was extremely welcoming and talked to our group with kindness. The chicken was absolutely delicious and I couldn’t get enough. You can tell that they put their hearts in to the food, restaurant, and atmosphere. This place is cozy and warm and I will be coming back for more. You’ll have to make a reservation but it was a very simple process, and they take American, yen, and card.

Flawless experience here, called last minute looking for reservation we were welcomed with open arms. Environment was perfect seeming how the owner and his family built it roughly 10 years ago! Food was fresh and home cooked. The steak/rice and salad was fantastic. Also adult drink menu was on point and cheap! We appreciate you and your family welcoming us into your home/restaurant!

Last minute I was offered a spot to go to Warren and JJ’s with some other Marines and I definitely don’t regret it. Warren was an amazing host who shared his personal stories and insights. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was AMAZING! Out of the 4 times I’ve visited Okinawa I’ve never known of this place and I regret only just now discovering it. Share with friends and family! The best part of it all was knowing how much giving Warren does. He and his family are servers through and through. It not only shows in their work but in their community and with the service branches on Okinawa. He goes out of his way to support those who need help. I’m grateful for the opportunity to dine here and especially to have met Warren and his family.
